The President

Two years since the day that the world has changed. The president was once a face to many people but now he's the world most hated human in history. The world is now controlled completely by the GOVERNMENT that lead by the president himself. The president just arrived at the iconic Hilton Hotel where he delivered his victory speech once where he promised the world a better future by accepting the changes he made. He step onto the very same stage, and walk toward the same podium but today he's not giving a speech about his victory but instead issue a warning to the resistance.

Tyler : Two years ago, you all chose me to be your leader. To lead, to change. I know this is a very devastating transformation but human need to evolve! For the last two millions our species had survived every ordeal. 

Tyler is boo-ed by the audience and throwing words of death threat. At the backstage however are his bodyguards that are ready for any worst case scenario. Their leader, Lars are checking every square inch of the building. 

Lars : Dave, I need you to make sure the rooftop are secured. Over

Dave : Lars, you said the same shit for last twenty minutes. Calm down.

Lars : Our priori-

Dave : That fucker caused shit to the world and we are paid to watch over him.

Lars : And that fucker are the only guy will keep us alive and away from any resistance so go check the rooftop.

Dave shuts his radio off and stand near the edge of the rooftop that located just opposite of the Hilton Hotel. Protesters are gathered outside of the Hilton Hotel, chanting "President is shit.". Suddenly, the main front door of the hotel are breached and protesters storming in.

Dave : Lars! The main door-..Fuck, why the fuck are this radio won't functioning?!

Soon the protesters reach the ballroom and Lars rush toward the president. He grabs the president and escort him to the armored vehicle. He signals the driver to go while he stay to gather all of Tyler's bodyguards. He went back to the stage and the whole place is on fire which started by the resistance. One of the culprits are thirteen years old boy. Lars catch the boy but the boy attempt to cut Lars and he dodge it. 

Lars : Put the knife down, boy! 

The boy keeps on attacking Lars and Lars try his best to outmaneuver the boy's attack. Suddenly, Lars caught off-guard and got cut on his arm. Lars is surprised by the boy's skill with knife.

Lars : Alright kid, enough with the game.

Lars pull out his gun and shoot at him. Its only a rubber bullet which is use to stun any threat and the boy passed out. He carry the boy along with injured bodyguards to the ambulance. Once they reached the medical centre, he carry the boy by himself to the wad and lay him down on a bed. He sit on a chair beside the boy's bed. Then, Lars went out to smoke. Today event still bugging his mind as he can't believe that even a young boy will involve. What if next time a minor armed to the teeth and about the end his life? Will he kill or be killed? Several hours later, the boy wakes up and found himself on a bed. Lars walk through the door.

Lars : Tell me boy, why?

Boy : Why? My world is gone, my life is gone, my future is gone...

Lars : Are you fear of your future?

Boy : Government, mutants, and random people that want us dead, of course I'm scare.

Lars : We don't fear the future, we shape it.

Boy : This is the world your president shaped. A living hell.

Lars : ......

Boy : Tell me, why are you even work for him? You're different from the others.

Lars : Because my future is mine to shape and not them. So does yours.

Boy : Why did you saved me?

Lars : Because I saw a potential in you. You're a great fighter. It's been awhile since the last time I got cut especially by kid which is never.

Boy : I fight to survive.

Lars : So do I. 

Boy : What are you going to do with me?

Lars : I'll train you. 

Boy : So that I'll be one of his dogs? No.

Lars : So that you'll live to see another day. Tell me, kid, what's your name?

Karl : Karl. 

Lars : Just Karl?

Karl : I'm an orphan.

Lars : I'm Lars, nice to meet you, Karl.

Lars brings a suit and a gun.

Lars : Put this on. 

Karl put on a suit and wield the gun. He aimed it at Lars. He smiles and put it away.

THE APOCALYSPE

2 hours before the outbreak....

The newly-elected president of the United States Of America, President Tyler smile and waves to his supporters and approaching the podium that was set for him to make a speech. Some say it will be the speech of a century, some say it will be just a simple acceptance speech but little do they know the contents of the speech. For someone aged twenty-three, it was a huge achievement for him. Lars, one of his most trusted bodyguards are checking the parameters as usual.

Tyler : People of the world! This is the proudest moment for me and I will not forget it. Thank you for all of your relentless support since the start of the campaign until the day that I stand here. As promised, I will bring change to the country, to the world, to all of you. My first act will be.......

Somewhere in San Francisco....

A small cab just arrived right infront of two thousand square feet house. A young soldier that was just relieved from his duty. His name is John McGrady. The cab driver is helping him with the luggages.

Driver : That would be 25$, sir.

John : Alright, here you go. Thanks for the ride.

Driver : No problem, sir.

John stands and look at his house. Sigh as he was too tired from the journey he took but in the same time, he's glad that he is home, with his family. He lifts his bag and walks toward the small front porch of his house. He stops right infront of the door and press the doorbell. He heard a voice and a footsteps approaching. The door opened and he smiles.

John : I'm home.

Diana : John? Oh my god!

She hugs him so tight and a tear of joy is flowing from her right eye. She then kiss him.

John : Where are the others?

Diana : Jake! Lena! Come down here, I have a surprise for both of you!

Rushing footsteps can be heard from the upstair and two young children can be seen descending.

Diana : Look who's here....

Lena/Jake : DADDY!!

Both of them hug their dad.

John : I miss you two so much. Now now, have you two been a good kid when daddy's not here?

They nod.

John : Good. 

Diana : Let me carry your bag, sweetheart. Go upstair and take a shower. I will prepare for the dinner.

John : Is our favorite restaurant still open?

Diana : Yes.

John : We'll eat there. This is something we should celebrate anyway. I'm home and married to the beautiful woman in the world.

Diana giggle and kiss John. John goes to his room and get himself clean and ready. An hour later, the whole family gathered in the living room and leaving the house. They get into small little FIAT car and drive to town. Half an hour later, they arrived at a simple and small restaurant.

Receptionist : How can I help you?

John : Table for four.

Receptionist : Right this way.

The receptionist escort them to a small round table with a candle lit on the middle of the table. They ordered their foods and waiting to be served. Half an hour later the food is served and the family enjoy their feast. Suddenly, an emergency broadcast is appear on the restaurant televisions.

ALL CIVILIANS ARE ADVISED TO STAY INDOOR. THIS IS NOT A TEST. ALL CIVILIANS ARE ADVISED TO STAY INDOOR. THIS IS NOT TEST.

 John : What the f-. Hey!

He approaches one of the waiter.

John : What is going on?!

Waiter : I don't know! But please stay on your table. Your safety is our prior-

John : Fuck this.

Suddenly a loud but far bang shocked the whole building. People on the streets started to panic and run for their life. All people in the restaurant started to get panic. Then, a scream can be heard coming from the kitchen. A man with blood sprouting from his neck emerge from the kitchen's door and everyone surprised. A strange-looking man is walking toward the man and start to devour his body which make everyone run away from the restaurant. John grabs his family and escort them out of the restaurant. Outside is chaotic. Screams and gunshot are filling the emptiness. They run to their car and start the engine. Suddenly, a zombie-like human are banging his head against the driver's windshield. John reach the glove compartment where he stored his gun. 

John : Back off or I'll shoot!

The creature seems to ignore John's warning and keep banging his head. John fires through the window and blow the creature's head off.

Diana : John! They're watching!

John : Who?

Diana : Your children!

Lena started to cry and Jake try not to cry but calming his little sister. They drive away from the scene.

Diana : Where are we going, John?!

John : Somewhere safe. The town is in great danger. The broadcast, the attack.... It's better we go for outskirt.
Diana : Tell me what happened...

John : As far as I know, this was some kind of outbreak that mutating any vulnerable human that are prone to what the fuck ever it was.

After hours of driving, They stumble upon a barricade road with armed soldiers. One of the soldier approach their car while aim his gun toward them.

Soldier : Sir! I want you to step out of the car with your hands up! All of you!

John : I'm Sergeant McGrady and just got back home from my p-

Soldier : Get out of the car and put your hands up!

Slowly John steps away from his car and on his knee, with his hands up.

Soldier : Stay there!

The soldier walk back to his post and report the situation. John can hear the conversation but feel distraught by it.

John : No, no! You can't do this! Please! Let my wife and kids go!

The soldier reports back to his radio and his face changed.

Soldier : I'm sorry...

Soldiers formed their line and ready to fire their rifle. Suddenly the place are overwhelm by the coming horde of infected. John grabs his kids and wife and rush them to their car. Unfortunately, the infected are chasing after them. John see a military truck and put their child inside the back of the truck. When Diana want to get in, the truck speed off and separate them. John chase after the truck but slowly the truck getting distances.

John : Shit. Jake! Listen to me! I want you to look after your sister. Your mother and I will find you! I promise! Protect your sister!

Jake : Dad...no...I...

John : Listen to me! Trust me, I'm gonna look for you!

The truck getting further from John's reach and slowly leaving him. John runs back to his wife and found her among lying and injured from the gunshot and biting wound.

John : No, no, no, no.....

Diana : John....*cough*. I love you....

John : Please, Diana, stay with me!

Diana : Take..a go..good care....*die*

John : Diana? Baby? Please don't do this...

John holds his lifeless wife and crying.

It's been awhile

Back in the day when I was in highschool, these blogging activity was a boom among us. We're like "Who got the blog? I'll follow your blog if your follow mine." bla bla bla and those stuffs. I quit blogging when I'd face the most important examination of my life, SPM. The result was changed my whole life and the failure doesn't stop me from being who I am today. I got 5B, 3D and 1G and I was in science stream. My parents are a little disappointed but I know, that they never let me fall. Always got my back. Ever since my last post, many things happen. I went to the pre-university programme and eventually get myself enrolled in UiTM for Diploma studies. I'm a chemical engineering student anyway, which I'm kinda proud of.

After spending three years in this bittersweet place, I felt that this place changed me into a better person, I guess? I've met a lot of friends, especially those who stuck with me in the pre-science programme and our bonds are tighter ever since. But, the bad things is, I never got the time to spend to blogging or even think about blogging. Most of my friends stop and seems like this post mark my status as the only person among my friends that continue to blogging. (I think so?). Well, cut the chase. Let me introduce myself anyway.

Hello. My name is Scott and I'm 21 years old now. I started blogging since I was 16 and that was the time where I spent most of my life only on two things; badminton and competitive gaming. Actually 2011 was my downhill of gaming career where the game I love the most, is dead. COUNTER-STRIKE 1.6. Everyone recognize with the game and I grew up with it. I've met so many players all over Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei and back then e-sport was just a hobby for most people. Today, e-sport has took another level. DOTA 2 with 25 million prizepool and the scene of CS:GO is growing stronger. Actually I'm pretty excited when I heard that CS:GO is the same as CS1.6 but I never been so wrong in my life. In 2011, I quit. So few months later I start with DotA and slowly adapt to competitive side. In 2013, I change to DotA 2 and now I'm an active competitive player of DotA 2. 

As a teenager I grew up most of life surrounded with people's face stuck to their phone. Scroll endlessly into the oblivion of virtual world. Last year, 2015, where I'd already my young adult stage of life and the uprising of this apps has influence the lifestyle of people nowaday. WeChat. I've spend most of my time in WeChat writting stories and eventually I'm end up being a freewriter. Recently I wrote "THE AFTERMATH" which spanned until 31 parts of it. (Because WeChat can't contain more than 2000 words each post so, yeah. 31 parts.) "THE AFTERMATH" was the continuation of my previous story, "THE END" where mostly revolves around the life of McGrady(s). The theme of the story is based on post-apocalyptic life where earth is invested with mutants. "THE END" is kinda a prologue to my stories so far where I introduce the main characters and end it with the shocking betrayal of an important character, Lars which is my favorite. "THE AFTERMATH" however expand the story with perspective of 5 characters (John, Jake, Lena, Lars, and Doc) with each of them had their on backgrounds. 

My main intention of blogging right is try to reach out any of you blogwalkers cause I'm thinking of become a serious write since my imagination keep flowing. Let me introduce the characters so far.\
